The Emotion of Home
How a home feels is paramount in the way it assists in our daily living. It should inspire and calm depending on our immediate needs: allowing our deep rest or bringing us joy in mere nuances. This is achieved by a space’s layering, a combination of textures and materials, and the space between things.
It is not about the objects as much as it is about our stories towards them, how they make us feel as we interact: the stimuli of eye and hand, mind and emotion. Our traditions and romantic notions speak greatly to how we live and what we live with, guiding what we choose to collect and our personal hierarchy of needs.
Our homes should provide a certain level of utility, but most importantly support in how we move through our lives, with visual splendor, a backdrop to well being.
